Joe Pavlat, Editorial Director
Joe Pavlat has more than 30 years’ experience in the embedded computer
industry. He has held senior executive positions in both engineering
and marketing. He is currently president and chairman of the PCI
Industrial Manufacturers Group (PICMG), an industry consortium that
develops open computer standards for the industrial
control,instrumentation, and communications markets. Joe received a
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.
Anne Fisher,
Associate Editor
Anne Fisher is the Associate Editor of CompactPCI and AdvancedTCA
Systems and Embedded Computing Design. She has more than 20 years’
experience writing and editing. Topics she has written about include
CAE/CAD/CAM, IC design, military avionics, graphics accelerators,
nuclear power systems, industrial automation, and backplanes,for
companies including GE, Cadence, Measurex, Valero, and Hewlett-Packard.
Anne received her Bachelor’s degree from Santa ClaraUniversity.
Curtis Schwaderer,
Columnist – Software Corner
Curtis Schwaderer has been immersed in the world of networking and
software for more than 17 years. Curtis has held technical leadership
and management positions with RadiSys, Microware Systems,
E-Systems/Raytheon, and is currently a principal software engineer and
cofounder of IP Fabrics, Inc. Curtis is a patent holder with two others
pending in the area of embedded software and network processing. Curtis
received his Bachelor and Masters degrees in Computer Engineering from
Iowa State University.
Terri Thorson,
Senior Editor
Terri Thorson is the Senior Editor for CompactPCI and AdvancedTCA
Systems and VMEbus Systems magazines. Her technical knowledge includes
telecommunications, embedded and real-time systems,industrial
automation and IT training as well as medical imaging, and defense and
aerospace applications. Terri received her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Journalism and Public Relations and a Master of Mass Communication from
Arizona State University, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass
Communication.
