New Albany, IN – Samtec, Inc. announced it has been awarded a 2009Total Cost of Ownership (TCOOTM) Supplier Award from Celestica, a global leader in the delivery of end-to-end product lifecycle solutions. Celestica’s awards program recognizes suppliers that support Celestica’s TCOO sourcing strategy to provide its customers with the best possible supply chain solution for their products.
“Samtec is proud to be recognized by Celestica,” said Danny Boesing, Marketing Director of Samtec. “Samtec focuses on creating superior capabilities and differentiation within niche products and markets. Celestica values these attributes, and we are thrilled to receive the 2009 TCOO Supplier Award.”
Most Samtec products fall into one of three categories: high speed (signal integrity), micro pitch, and rugged products. These products are used in Board-to-Board, Cable, and Panel and I/O systems. To maximize your design flexibility, Samtec also has the unique ability to "weave" all these products and features together for a "mix-and-match" solution to support your specific interconnect application.
This marks the fourth year of Celestica’s TCOO Supplier Awards program, which evaluates and recognizes the top performers in Celestica’s global network of over 3,000 suppliers. Celestica’s TCOO system is focused on evaluating supplier performance by measuring the total cost to produce, deliver and support products and services beyond the supplier invoice price. As such, it considers the following supplier attributes: quality, delivery, technology, service, pricing and flexibility.
"Congratulations Samtec for being recognized with a 2009 TCOO Supplier Award,” said Harvinder Sembhi, Chief Procurement Officer, Celestica. “I sincerely thank Samtec for supporting Celestica’s supply chain strategy and helping us to drive speed, flexibility and responsiveness through the supply chain.”
