Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, 12th February 2009 – Telesoft Technologies, a leading supplier of telecoms solution platforms, today added a new model to the successful OKEFORD Media Platform range. The OKEFORD 5500 Media Platform offers high capacity STM-1/OC-3 and Gbit Ethernet interfaces in a compact 2U chassis, the highest density solution available on the market today allowing substantial savings in operating costs.

The OKEFORD 5500 Media Platform is ideal for network operators and service providers wishing to migrate existing high-capacity IN/AIN services to a next generation architecture with SIP and VoiceXML capabilities. It acts as an Intelligent Peripheral in the IN/AIN environment and as a media resource function (MRF) within a next generation network. Supporting a wide range of control interfaces including INAP, CAMEL, WIN, IS-771, NETANN, SIP and VoiceXML its flexibility simultaneously allows GSM, CDMAone, CDMA2000, UMTS, fixed and IP network interfaces.
