Montreal, Canada, November 16, 2009 – TelcoBridges, the preferred hardware and software supplier for telecom system integrators, solution developers and service providers, today announced two new members of the Tdev family of products, with the addition of the TMP5900 and TMP7900 computer telephony platforms. These new models offer significant increases in speed, processing power and storage capabilities to help solutions developers incorporate a wider array of value added service options into their telephony solutions.

“Two weeks ago we announced the expansion of our Tmedia media gateway family, and today’s additions to our Tdev line of computer telephony platforms meet the needs of solutions developers creating Value Added Services for their service provider customers,” said Gaetan Campeau, President and Founder of TelcoBridges. “The strategy behind these new additions is to provide a product for every client need, while maintaining the density, performance and scalability of our brand.”

High Density Platform with Internal x86 host: TMP5900

TelcoBridges’ Tdev TMP5900 is a high-density computer telephony (CTI) development platform for solutions developers seeking to create unique value added services offerings for their service provider customers. The TMP5900 leverages TelcoBridges’ Toolpack software to enable developers to rapidly build and deploy highly customized solutions such as unified communications, conferencing, Fax over IP, location-based services, SMS capabilities, ring-back tones, pre & post-paid calling, and many others.

Offering a full-featured, quad-core, Intel Xeon-based host with 500GB of RAID-1 storage, the TMP5900 can run additional applications, such as soft-switches and session border controllers on the same device. This helps solutions developers converge services and it allows service providers to consolidate equipment, eliminating operating costs. With separate chipsets for signaling, transcoding, and interactive voice response (IVR), the TMP5900 provides full non-blocking capability of up to 2048 universal voice channels per device, and it provides the highest port density in a 2U form factor currently available on the market.

Highest Capacity Cluster: TMP7900

TelcoBridges’ Tdev TMP7900 is a very high capacity, carrier-grade CTI development platform designed for solutions developers interested in expanding value-added services, while consolidating multiple racks of devices (for call control and media) into a single system.

Featuring multiple redundant quad-core Intel Xeon-based hosts with multi-terabyte local RAID-1 storage, the TMP5900 provides a greater level of scalability – to a capacity of 1024 T1/E1/J1, 48 DS-3 or 16 STM-1 interfaces, and up to 32,768 non-blocking universal voice ports. The TMP7900 supports the same capabilities as the TMP5900, including the ability to run additional applications such as soft-switches and session border controllers locally. The carrier-grade TMP7900 also provides redundancy across all hardware and software elements, to ensure maximum uptime and a smooth recovery in case of component failure.

Extending the Award-winning Tdev Product Family:

These new offerings extend TelcoBridges’ Tdev family, which also includes the TMP800, base addition for solution developers seeking affordable, smaller-scale solutions, and the award-winning high-density TMP6400 device. Today’s new offerings deliver much more processing power, and include enough storage to enable developers to build, store and deploy a wider range of telephony applications, in a consolidated, converged manner.
