Former Nortel Director Joins RadiSys as Senior Director of Service Provider Equipment Segment

HILLSBORO, Oreg. February 16, 2005 RadiSys Corporation (Nasdaq: RSYS), a leading global provider of advanced embedded systems, today announced Todd Etchieson has been named senior director of the company's Service Provider Division. Etchieson comes to RadiSys after a nearly 14-year career with Nortel Networks where he was most recently director of Business Management for the company's Wireless Mesh Network solution.

During his tenure at Nortel Networks, Etchieson held a variety of engineering and senior management positions in the US, France and the United Kingdom. Most recently, he was responsible for the successful launch of the companys Wireless Mesh Network technology. This included managing the product management and marketing teams, determining the product roadmap strategy based on customer requirements and meeting corporate revenue and margin targets. While with Nortel, Etchieson played a key role in the global roll-out of the companys 3G Mobile solution and he was responsible for defining the marketing strategy for the company’s GSM wireless network products. Etchieson received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University. He also holds a Master of Science degree in telecommunications from Southern Methodist University.
