Matrox co-founder to receive national honor

February 28, 2007, Dorval, Quebec, Canada - The Matrox group of companies is proud to announce that co-founder Lorne Trottier has been named to the Order of Canada, one of the nation's highest honors.
Nominated for his business leadership and technological innovations, Mr. Trottier is also known locally for his generous contributions to education and health care, including McGill University, the École Polytechnique de Montréal, and the Lakeshore General Hospital (Pointe Claire, Quebec).
At a later date, Mr. Trottier and his fellow inductees will receive their insignia at a ceremony in the Canadian capital city of Ottawa.
In 2003, Mr. Trottier received Le Prix Lionel-Boulet, an award for researchers who have distinguished themselves through their leadership in scientific development and contribution to Québec's economic growth.
